Community Healthlink's (CHL) / Detox /, acute inpatient substance abuse treatment services, providers 24 hour nursing care and observation for clients that are detoxing from drugs and alcohol.
The length of stay varies per client, though the average is 4 to 6 days for the detoxification program. An aftercare plan is developed for everyone who completes the program, and clients are offered help with aftercare placement and treatment.
Community Healthlink's detoxification program has been awarded a three-year accreditation by the / Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities / (CARF). It commended the detoxification program for adopting a continuous quality improvement focus and for integrating case management into the clinical process, resulting in the formulation of thorough and comprehensive transition plans for its clients.
CHL's detoxification program is licensed by the / Massachusetts Department of Public Health /.
Inpatient detoxification services include:
Medical monitoring for acute alcohol/drug intoxication.
Potentially severe withdrawal syndrome and related medical problems.
24 hour nursing care and observation.
Bio-psychosocial assessment and treatment planning.
Intensive aftercare planning and referrals.
Daily individual and group counseling.
Nicotine replacement therapy.
Coordinates and oversees delivery of non-medical services to clients on the detox unit
Census management, including making sure client board is maintained by staff, maintaining daily DPH census, actively pursuing community outreach activities to maximize census, intervening as appropriate when clients express a desire to leave AMA, assuring that determination has been made that clients admitted to DPH beds are Massachusetts residents
Coordination of staffing, including making adjustments to assigned duties of Residential Counselors as needed, ensuring that absence calls received during shift worked are recorded, replacing open staffing slots caused by unplanned leaves
Oversee outside commitments, including scheduling, maintaining good working relationships with contacts for each commitment, and making sure each commitment meeting includes a CHL staff person
Assuring that effective searches of client belongings are performed
Conduct educational groups as appropriate
Collect and record AMA data
Collect and record client satisfaction data
Provide performance guidance and disciplinary intervention as needed for Residential Counselors
Coordinates with security officer on duty to provide a safe environment for treatment
Observes environment of care for functionality, reports deficiencies as needed
Coordinates fire drills as needed
Bachelor's degree in a related field required
Minimum of one year experience in a related field required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, memos, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively in group settings
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Valid MA driver's license and vehicle for transportation

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
