As a sales consultant you will build new agent/broker relationships within your assigned territory. You will increase annual premium sales during your first year, by contacting and educating brokers on our products. You will track critical activities (contacts, quotes, etc) and capture market insights that influence pricing strategies. Job
Responsibilities:
Market Trustmark's Small Business Benefit plans to independent agents within an assigned territory and produce sales results. Visit agents and/or customers up to 20% of the time or as necessary. Advise Agents on Small Business Benefits products, workflow (enrollment options and underwriting processes) and administrative guidelines. Follow up on all Small Business Benefit proposals/sales opportunities. Recommend the appropriate combination of products. Required skills:
Highly motivated, organized and competitive person with excellent communication (verbal, written and listening) skills. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Desire to learn, apply proven sales techniques and build relationships. Experience preferred:
Bachelor's degree and/or minimum three years sales experience. Analytical and consultative sales skills. Prior Insurance-related sales. Active Life and Health license (required within 90 days of hire). Prior Experience in Group Medical, Employee Benefits. Phone-based sales experience.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
SalesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
