Job Description:
The Froelich School of Nursing seeks a dynamic and professional individual to serve as the Associate Dean of Nursing.
This individual will work closely with and report to the Dean of Nursing.
The Associate Dean will be responsible for oversight of the undergraduate nursing curriculum and will facilitate a supportive environment for evidence-based and innovative teaching strategies related to the development of nursing knowledge and competency.
The Associate Dean of Nursing will promote and support the mission of the university and school and is authorized to act on behalf of the Dean of Nursing in his/her absence.
The Associate Dean will serve as the Program Administrator of the Baccalaureate Nursing Program which consists of a traditional 4-year track and a 16-month post-bachelor's accelerated nursing track.
Compliance with Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing regulation and Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education accreditation standards is a priority.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate leadership to and management of the undergraduate nursing program within the context of state regulation and accreditation standards; Facilitate curriculum development and the delivery of engaging instruction in collaboration with faculty; Participate in the systematic process of program assessment and evaluation as indicated in the Program Assessment and Evaluation Plan; Consult with program faculty to establish, revise, and monitor academic standards and policies in the nursing program; Participate in the resolution of faculty and/or student issues within the nursing program; Provide program data, reports, and course schedules to the faculty, staff and Dean; Oversee the development and updates to course and clinical delivery schedules; Collaborate with the Clinical Placement Coordinator, Clinical Course Coordinators, and Department Chair to determine clinical agency needs and to evaluate the quality of the clinical agency; Assess the nursing admission processes, including admission criteria, for effectiveness, with recommendations for improvement; Collaborate with the Dean of Nursing and nursing faculty to identify and recruit full-time and adjunct faculty needs; Collaborate with the Dean of Nursing in the process of evaluation and promotion of full-time faculty; Participate in the on-boarding, orientation, and mentoring of full and part time faculty; Participate and monitor the effectiveness of the orientation of first year and transfer nursing students; Maintain currency in the state of the science related to nursing education and interprofessional health education; Foster a departmental climate that supports collegiality and professional development of faculty, staff, and students; Professionally interact with members of the community of interest, including the Froelich School of Nursing Advisory Council; Appropriately represent the Froelich School of Nursing and the nursing profession when serving as a school representative; Other duties as assigned.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
