Worcester, MA Worcester, MA Full-time Full-time $25 an hour $25 an hour Human Resources Coordinator The Jewish HealthCare Center is one of New England's most respected HealthCare facilities, providing innovative long-term care, short-term rehabilitation, hospice services, home care services, and Alzheimer's care to the community since 1916.
Full time (30 hours) Monday- Friday to fill an immediate opening.
Unique and exciting opportunity to be involved in a transition from a manual system to an automated HRIS.
Experience preferred with at least 3 years' experience managing benefits and leaves of absence and knowledge of local and federal regulations and laws.
Highly competent in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HR Systems, etc.
Familiarity of Harper's Payroll a plus.
Experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
Responsibilities include:
Managing, directing and planning the day to day operations of group benefits programs.
Manage daily benefits processing.
Handle orientation, enrollments, changes, claims, individual employee issues, etc.
Coordinate with employees and 3rd party vendor all leaves of absence.
Serve as contact for plan vendors and administrators.
Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums and plan administration.
Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.
Document, maintain and update procedures for assigned benefits and benefit processes.
Manage daily benefit processing.
Handle orientation, enrollment, changes, claims, individual employee issues, etc.
and all compliance testing.
Gather employee data on an ongoing basis & process monthly billing.
Invoice employees for any outstanding premiums.
Create and maintain employee files per DPH regulations.
Including daily filing, file purging.
Assist with new employee orientation, recruitment activities.
Responsible for managing employee recognition (birthdays, thank you and agency extranet).
Responsible for managing employee reference, employment and income verifications.
