Quality Assurance Technician

1st Shift QA Tech Position
6:30am- 3:30pm Monday- Friday (full time)
Job
Summary: Responsible for Monitoring & Auditing, good manufacturing practices, product quality and safety, and sanitation, review and approve supplemental logs, charts and other documents in support of SQF system, perform internal and external audits as assigned, assist in the maintenance and implementation of the Quality and SQF System, participate in project teams and perform other related duties as assigned, troubleshoot and investigate quality issues, participate in regulatory and customer audits as assigned.
Requirements:
Education: Required Bachelors degree
Preferred- Bachelors degree in Food Science, Nutrition or related Sciences.
Reliable transportation
Must be able to speak English clearly
Licensing/Registration/Certification:
Required- HACCP
Preferred -- SQF, BRC or ISO 9002 certifications
Experience: Required- 2 years of experience in food manufacturing industry in Quality Assurance Department.
Preferred: 2-4 years of work experience in USDA regulated SQF certified environment.
Skills, knowledge & abilities:
Mechanically inclined, be a good communicator, analytical, training and supervision skills, good PC skills with knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel), know production process, be able to think quickly, be a good communicator, perform quality work, understand USDA regulations, HACCP, SQF, GMP'S, SSOP's, and labeling requirements
Physical:
Standing, sitting, walking, climbing ladders and stairs
Mental
Mathematical: Some statistical skills (able to calculate averages, medians or means, compare standards to real-world activities using data), be able to develop formulations of various ingredients for existing products
Mechanical: Able to understand production equipment and layouts.
Working Conditions
Environment involves exposure to food preparation and storage areas where the environment is extremely cold and moderately noisy, and sanitation requirements must be met is required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
