Job Description:
Holy Cross Athletics is seeking qualified and creative Interns/Volunteers for Summer 2014 and Fall 2014. The Video Production Gameday Intern/volunteer will be responsible for assisting the Director of Video Production with all aspects of gameday video operation, specifically for Patriot League Network web streamed broadcasts. Primary responsibilities will include setting up and breaking down equipment for live events. Intern/volunteer may also assist with compiling statistical information during games. Desired candidate should have an understanding of audio/visual equipment and must be available nights and weekends. Familiarity with sports a plus.
Setting up and breaking down Tricaster 455 and related video broadcasting equipment at a variety of sports venues on campus.
Running SDI and XLR cables to desired camera locations at each event.
Assist with camera operation and graphic implementation.
Create and edit graphics including score bars and lower thirds to be used during live broadcasts.
Compile and assist with in game statistical data for play-by-play and color commentators.
Build and maintain a positive relationship with representatives from and the Patriot League Network, powered by Campus Insiders. Help promote broadcasts using various social media and other platforms.
Must be a hardworking and motivated individual with an interest in live video production and broadcasting.
Knowledge of audio/visual equipment including cameras, tripods, TV monitors, DVD players, microphones.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a team to execute a goal.
Troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
Familiarity with social media a plus.
Must be able to lift upwards of 25 lbs.
Available nights and weekends based on scheduled athletic events.

Compensation: This position is an unpaid internship that can be used for course credit or on a volunteer basis.
Finalist will be subject to a criminal background check.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
